July 2016 Cohort Tuition & Fees

The program price structure (tuition and fees) does not include associated costs (required textbooks, recurring publications, FAA Practical Test fees, FAA Knowledge Test fees, David Clark headset, aviation plotter, E6B calculator, kneeboard). Please contact ISAE before making any associated costs purchases. The total price of associated costs is approximately $6,445. FAA Practical Test fees are paid by the student pilot directly to the examiner. FAA Knowledge Test fees are paid by the student pilot directly to the testing center.

SEMESTER ONE: AERO 1000 and AERO 1050 are required to be taken simultaneously. The combined duration of the courses is six months. Upon successful completion, student pilots will have earned the Federal Aviation Administration Private Pilot Certificate. The price of the associated costs for AERO 1000 and AERO 1050 is approximately $1,575. The tuition and fees for AERO 1000 and AERO 1050 is $28,060, excluding associated costs.

SEMESTER TWO: AERO 1100, AERO 1150, AERO 1200 and AERO 1250 are required to be taken simultaneously. The combined duration of the courses is eight months. Upon successful completion, student pilots will have earned the Federal Aviation Administration Commercial Pilot Certificate and Instrument Rating. The price of the associated costs for AERO 1100, AERO 1150, AERO 1200 and AERO 1250 is approximately $1,855. The tuition and fees for AERO 1100, AERO 1150, AERO 1200 and AERO 1250 is $39,120, excluding associated costs.

SEMESTER THREE: AERO 1300, AERO 1350, AERO 1400 and AERO 1450 are required to be taken simultaneously. The combined duration of the courses is approximately four months. Upon successful completion, student pilots will have earned the Federal Aviation Administration Certified Flight Instructor Certificate and Certified Flight Instructor Instrument Rating. The price of the associated costs for AERO 1300, AERO 1350, AERO 1400 and AERO 1450 is approximately $3,015. The tuition and fees for AERO 1300, AERO 1350, AERO 1400 and AERO 1450 is $16,390, excluding associated costs.

The tuition and fees for the program total $83,570, excluding associated costs. The total program cost (tuition, fees, and associated costs) is approximately $90,015*.

The total duration of the program is 18 months. Upon successful completion, student pilots become eligible to be employed as commercial helicopter pilots and helicopter flight instructors.
