The Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Administration covers a broad field of business fundamentals such as accounting, economics, finance, and marketing. Students learn both management and leadership skills. Upon successful completion of general education and specific program courses, students will acquire the knowledge and skills to apply management, marketing and accounting concepts to improve operational performance and aid in decision-making skills.

Graduates of the Business Administration program possess the necessary skills to use technology effectively to both develop and apply competencies. They also possess knowledge of the legal, social, global, and economic environments of business and can communicate effectively.

Students learn to apply basic accounting principles and concepts by completing a simulation of the accounting cycle, prepare a business plan, apply written, oral, and nonverbal communication techniques, and critically apply ethical reasoning to business situations.

Many graduates go on to work as bookkeepers, office support specialists, and customer service representatives. Our Business Administration program also provides a strong foundation for those students who want to continue onto a bachelor's degree at a four-year institution.
