South Louisiana Community College’s Adult Education Program is holding enrollment for new students on January 3 at the Gulf Area Campus in Abbeville, January 4 at the Evangeline campus in St. Martinville, and January 5 at the Acadian Campus in Crowley. All locations will begin registration at 8:45 a.m. Initial testing takes approximately four hours.
Students must arrive on time in order to register for the session; doors will be closed at 9 a.m. Classes will begin on January 9.
Potential students need to bring photo identification and Social Security card to register. Students 16-years-old and 17-years-old need to contact the Adult Education Office at (337) 892-2360 before registering to check on registration requirements for youths.
Classes are free – the only cost incurred by students is that of the actual HiSET exam. Classes are held Monday through Thursday from 8:30 – 11:50 a.m. Tutoring is available to all students in addition to basic skills remediation, transitional services, and preparation for high school equivalency success.
