Faculty Rewards Online Packet

As a Faculty Award nominee, you must complete a detailed submission process. The award categories you will be competing for include:

• Distinguished Faculty Award of Excellence  (Full-Time Faculty members in the Academic Affairs Divisions of BIT, STEM, LAH, and NAH may be nominated)
• Innovation in Teaching Award (Full-Time Faculty members in the Academic Affairs Divisions of BIT, STEM, LAH, and NAH may be nominated)
• Excellence in Teaching Awards - one per division (Full-Time Faculty in the Divisions of Adult Education, Corporate College, Business, IT, and Technical Studies, STEM, Transportation and Energy, Nursing and Allied Health, and Liberal Arts and Humanities)
• Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Member (Adjunct Faculty in the Divisions of Adult Education, Corporate College, Business, IT, and Technical Studies, STEM, Transportation and Energy, Nursing and Allied Health, and Liberal Arts and Humanities)

To be considered for one of these prestigious awards, you will be required to submit the following information: 

1. Signed letter of support and recommendation from at least one student, no more than two.
2. Personal statement of your philosophy of teaching and service.
3. Full time faculty to include the summary page from the LCTCS current year’s annual evaluation OR
4. Adjunct faculty to include a teaching observation or evaluation from one of the previous three semesters
5. Description and examples of how you have exhibited innovation in the classroom in the current academic year.
6. Bullet list of your service to the department, division, college, and community in the current academic year (special projects, committee work, advisory committees, serving on boards, etc.)
7. Bullet list of professional development activities in which you have participated in the current (conferences, seminars, internal college PD functions, etc.).

Please prepare all supporting artifacts and documentation by scanning and saving as one PDF file with 6 descriptive headers for each category: 1) Student Support, 2) Personal Philosophy, 3) Evaluation or Observation, 4) Innovation in the Classroom, 5) Service to Department, Division, College, and Community, and 6) Professional Development.
