SLCC to Visit Northside High for College Day Jan. 31

South Louisiana Community College’s Center for Minority Excellence is bringing the college experience to Northside High School on Jan. 31.

College Day is open all students and parents of Northside High School.

“We want to assist high school students with creating a blueprint for their post-secondary educational journey at SLCC,” said Tonya Bolden-Ball, CME director.

Students and parents will be provided with information about SLCC including:

  • Admissions processes and procedures
  • Academic advising and degree plans
  • Financial Aid
  • Testing
  • Student Engagement

Organizers are hoping to encourage students to pursue a college degree and expose them to realistic and affordable options available at SLCC.
