SLCC's Corporate College is offering an Introduction to Project Management course that will begin January 25 and will run for 10 weeks. It’s a weekly class held in Lafayette on Thursdays from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.
This course is for individuals who are already employed and need to oversee projects from start to finish. These employees may be event coordinators planning specialized events, Human Resources personnel that need to initiate broad changes, Information Technology staffers who have to roll out updates, and marketing executives who are rebranding.
Students who complete the course will be able to identify and manage the project scope, build a work breakdown structure, create a project plan, create the project budget, define and allocate resources, manage the project development, identify and manage risks, and understand the project procurement process.
