Keith G. Myers, Chairman and CEO for LHC Group, will deliver the keynote address to graduates during South Louisiana Community College’s Fall 2017 graduation.
Graduation will be held Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017, in the Cajundome Convention Center starting at 6 p.m. More than 600 students are candidates for graduation.
Myers is co-founder of LHC Group and has served as chairman and CEO since 1994. LHC Group partnered with Acadian Companies earlier this year to name the auditorium in the college’s new Health and Sciences building.
Myers serves on the board of directors of the National Association for Home Care and Hospice. He is co-founder and current chairman of the board of the Partnership for Quality Home Healthcare and is also a co-founder and director of the Alliance for Home Health Quality and Innovation.
Myers served as chair of the research working group of the Alliance for Home Health Quality and Innovation and guided the clinically appropriate and cost-effective placement research conducted by Dobson DaVanzo and Associates.
He achieved certified home/hospice care executive certification from the National Association for Home Care and Hospice in 1999 and was certified by the Healthcare Financial Management Association in 2005. In June 2003, Myers was named the “Regional Entrepreneur of the Year” for outstanding performance in the field of healthcare services and was officially inducted as a lifetime member of the National Entrepreneur of the Year Hall of Fame in November of the same year.
Myers has actively participated in data analysis and preparation of numerous home care policy white papers and presentations to the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives.
