SLCC Requiring Masks Beginning July 27, 2021

Mask Up

The safety of faculty, staff, and students is a priority at SLCC. COVID infections have been on the rise in the state.  As you may know, COVID-19 is thought to spread mainly through close contact from person-to-person in respiratory droplets from someone who is infected.

As such, SLCC is issuing a Mask Mandate effective 7-27-21.  The COVID Self-Screening process will remain in place and all students and employees will be required to complete the daily screenings.

All employees must wear a mask to enter any facility owned or operated by SLCC.  All students, employees, visitors, and vendors are required to wear a mask or face covering over the nose and mouth. Anyone who does not have a face mask will receive one from security upon entry.  Please utilize a personal mask if you have one. Masks must be worn in all public open access areas, such as hallways, restrooms (unless single occupancy), and common areas.  While wearing a mask, social distancing is not a requirement, but is encouraged whenever possible.

Facility personnel, along with contracted janitorial services, have maintained the added cleaning and disinfecting previously implemented.  Enhanced hygiene practices, including hand washing and use of sanitizer, is strongly encouraged.
