Students at the Early College Academy, the magnet academy that is a partnership between Lafayette Parish School System and South Louisiana Community College, collected donations in an effort to help those affected by Hurricane Ida last weekend. Under the leadership of Spanish instructor Lisette Rignault-Henderson, freshmen spearheaded the undertaking and collected canned goods, toiletries, blankets, school supplies, hygiene products, and other goods to give to those affected by the storm.
