South Louisiana Community College (SLCC) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dr. Charles Miller as the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs. Dr. Miller, currently serving as the Associate Vice Chancellor of Institutional Effectiveness in the Office of Institutional Excellence, has been an esteemed member of the SLCC community for over 15 years.
In his current role, Dr. Miller has been instrumental in providing vision, leadership, and oversight for the College’s Institutional Research and Accreditation departments. [CA1] With a background in both secondary and post-secondary education, along with experience in management and consulting, Dr. Miller brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new position.
Dr. Miller holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Vocational Agriculture Education from Louisiana State University and earned his PhD in Agricultural Education from Ohio State University. As the Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs, he will play a crucial role in providing executive-level leadership and strategic vision for both the academic affairs and student affairs missions of the College. He will oversee key departments and collaborate with the Division of Economic and Workforce Development.
