South Louisiana Community College’s Economic & Workforce Development Department will host a job fair focused on the industrial trades on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, from 9am to noon at Devalcourt Auditorium on the Lafayette Campus (320 Devalcourt Street).
This hiring event is free and open to the public. Welders, electricians, equipment operators, machinists, mechanics, drivers, deckhands and other skilled trades people will have an opportunity to meet local companies hiring for positions in the industrial trades. SoLAcc encourages job seekers to dress professionally and bring multiple copies of their resumes.
35 companies will be exhibiting at the Industrial Trades Job Fair, with over 300 job opportunities available. In addition to meeting with hiring employers, attendees will also be able to speak with representatives from local organizations that can assist them with their job search, including resume assistance, and additional training.
