Four new members have joined the 2024-25 Board of Directors for the Foundation for SoLAcc. The new members began a four-year term on July 1, 2024.
They are:
- Corey Dixon, Area Manager, Gulf Coast Bank
- Katie Ferguson, Event & Industry Relations Manager at SchoolMint
- TJ Johnson, Technical Project Manager, COX Communications
- Angela Morrison, Senior Director of Engagement, Hospice of Acadiana
Board members oversee foundation operations, set policy, serve as community advocates for SoLAcc, and assist in strategic planning and fundraising activities.
“I am delighted to have these exceptional leaders join our board,” said Lana Fontenot, executive director of the Foundation. “Their impressive careers, deep-rooted community connections, and commitment to educational improvement in Acadiana are truly inspiring.”
Foundation President, Gregory Daigle, welcomed the new members to the board saying, "We are thrilled to welcome our new board members to the Foundation for SoLAcc. Their diverse perspectives and expertise will be invaluable as we work together to impact the lives of those at the South Louisiana Community College. Their commitment to our community is inspiring, and we are excited to see the positive impact they undoubtedly will make."

The Foundation for SoLAcc is a 501c3 nonprofit corporation established in 2003 for the mission of supporting the activities of South Louisiana Community College. Since 2017, the Foundation for SoLAcc has increased its endowment 16-fold, implemented SoLAcc’s largest-ever scholarship program, and has raised more than $10 million in support of programs, student scholarships and assistance, and facility improvements across the College’s campuses.
