SoLAcc Shines as Acadiana's Choice in Education & Workplace Culture

Over 190,460 votes were cast to determine what makes Acadiana truly exceptional, reflecting on the qualities that define this beloved region – delicious food, lively music, warm hospitality, and robust local businesses that help shape our area’s distinct identity.

The Acadiana’s Choice Awards not only shine a spotlight on what makes the area special but also strengthens the local economy and fosters community pride. Thousands of people took the time to vote to support local businesses and organizations like ours across a wide variety of categories. 

We are happy to report that South Louisiana Community College has been recognized in two prestigious areas. 

Coming out on top, SoLAcc wins GOLD for College/University.
And, our amazing faculty and staff shine BRONZE in the Best Place to Work category.
