South Louisiana Community College (SoLAcc) invites the community to join us for "Alive at 5," a vibrant Fall Festival on October 23rd from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on the Lafayette Campus, parking lot D. This exciting event promises an evening filled with fun, food, and valuable information about SoLAcc’s offerings.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of programs, including Admissions for all credit and transfer options, Adult Education, Dual Enrollment through the College Reach Out Program, and Short-Term Workforce Programs. Additionally, our library staff, Alumni and Development office, TRiO Equal Opportunity Center, Student Engagement leaders, and the Student Government Association (SGA) will be on hand to share resources and answer questions.
The festival will feature:
- Food Trucks: Savor delicious bites from local vendors.
- Live Music: Enjoy a performance by renowned local artist Chubby Carrier.
- Trunk or Treat: A family-friendly Halloween experience with treats for children.
- Costume Contest: Show off your creative costumes for a chance to win prizes, sponsored by SGA.
- Mascot Reveal: Be the first to meet the new SoLAcc mascot!
