Meet Misha Smith, Our First Ms. SoLAcc!

Ms. SoLAcc

South Louisiana Community College (SoLAcc) made history on February 6, 2025, as Misha Smith was crowned the inaugural Ms. SoLAcc in a night filled with energy, inspiration, and school spirit. Competing against seven remarkable contestants, Misha captivated the judges and audience alike, earning top honors in Private Interview and Evening Wear, along with the crowd-favorite People’s Choice Award.

The Ms. SoLAcc pageant, designed to celebrate leadership, scholarship, and service, featured four phases of competition: Private Interview, Platform Initiative Pitch, Evening Wear, and Onstage Question. Each contestant showcased their commitment to personal growth and community engagement, aligning with SoLAcc’s mission of fostering excellence in education and leadership.

Alongside Misha Smith’s crowning achievement, the pageant recognized outstanding performances from other contestants: First Runner-Up: Hailey Saulsbury,  Second Runner-Up: Cheronesia Valliere, and Third Runner-Up: Ashley Fitch.

Dr. Damian Glover, Executive Director for Student Services, applauded the contestants’ achievements and the spirit of the event:

“The inaugural Ms. SoLAcc pageant was a remarkable showcase of the talent, intelligence, and passion of our students. Misha Smith’s dedication to her platform and her ability to inspire others make her an exceptional representative for our college. We look forward to seeing the positive impact she will make in the SoLAcc community and beyond.”
