ADULT EDUCATION
Our Adult Education program will get you on a path to achieving your high school equivalency diploma by preparing you for the HiSet exam. This exam replaced the former GED exam and is recognized throughout Louisiana as the high school equivalency exam.
If you are 16 or 17 years old, you must receive a waiver from your local school board to qualify for our adult education program. All students between 16 and 18 years old must pass an official practice test administered by SoLAcc’s adult education program.
Students who are 19 years old or older are able to register for the HiSET exam. SoLAcc has nine HiSET testing centers that test each month. All testing candidates need to register for the HiSET online or by phone at 1 (855) My-HiSET. To register to take the test online, you will need to create an account and select the online test option.
