Are you interested in engineering? Our Associate of Science Degree in Industrial Technology prepares students to work in the technology field or to continue toward a baccalaureate degree in industrial technology or a related field.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The program is designed to transfer without a loss of credit to the Engineering and Technology Management program at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
You'll learn how to construct, test, and modify devices for manufacturing while using critical thinking. Areas of study include computer graphics, simulation, and modeling; business organization and management; and problem solving.

Industrial engineering technicians assist industrial engineers in devising efficient systems that integrate workers, machines, materials, information, and energy to make a product or provide a service. They prepare machinery and equipment layouts, plan workflows, conduct statistical production studies, and analyze production costs.

Graduates of the Associate of Science Degree in Industrial Technology program can:

SoLAcc partenered with the University of Lafayette to offer several Engineering Pathway 2+2 articulation agreements. The agreements allow students to complete 60 credit hours during a two-year tenure at SoLAcc and earn an associate degree. Those credits then transfer UL Lafayette, where the student accrues another 60 hours over the remaining two-year period to earn a bachelor’s degree, which requires a minimum 120 hours to complete.
