Fentanyl Awareness Meeting
Fentanyl, a synthetic opioid that is 100 times more potent than morphine is responsible for a growing number of overdose deaths in the U.S. To inform our community members on the dangers of this drug, SLCC is partnering with several local organizations to host a Fentanyl Awareness meeting on March 22 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Downtown Convention Center in Lafayette.
The meeting will feature expert speakers, including:
✅ Tina Stefanski, MD (LDH Region IV Medical Director)
✅ Keith Talamon, D-ABMDI (Chief Medicolegal Investigator of the Lafayette Parish Coroner's Office)
✅ Stacy Conrad (LDH Region IV Opioid Prevention Outreach Coordinator)
They will provide information on fentanyl, its effects, and how to stay safe. For more details, visit https://sites.google.com/view/laf-fentanyl-awareness-event/home
