FAQ
- Login into your LoLA account.
- Select student.
- Under the My Account section, select 1st day books opt out.
- Select the term.
- Check the box - yes, I would like to opt out of the Day 1 book program.
- Select save changes.
Each semester, students may opt-out starting after they register for their courses up until the last day to add/drop for the part of term their earliest course is being offered. For example, if you are taking a course in the 15-week semester and the 12-week semester, you will need to opt out before the last day to add/drop courses for the 15-week semester.
The add/drop date can be found on the academic calendar.
- Students will need to determine the start date and end date of their earliest course they are taking (this can be found in LoLA).
- Then, find the column on the calendar that matches the start and end date.
- Finally, find the last date you can drop by following down the calendar to the line that reads add/drop and late registration period. The last day listed on that line is the last day you can opt out of the Day 1 program.
No. Students that “opt out” are opting out of the program.
Yes, you can opt back into the program as long as it is before the deadline. To opt back into the program, follow the directions listed in question 1. However, for step 5 select opt back in. Don’t forget to hit save changes.
If you drop the course before the deadline, you will not be charged for the Day 1 books. However, keep in mind it will take the system between 24-48 hours for the change to reflect on your account.
The bookstore will use your my.solacc.edu email address when sending you the courseware access code.
Contact the bookstore and we can look up your code for you.
PSYC 2010 requires both an eBook and courseware. The courseware is only available with the purchase of the eBook. While you may have access to the textbook, you will be unable to access the courseware. You are highly encouraged to stay in the program, so you can receive both sets of materials needed to be successful in the course.
No. If you opted out of the program it will take the book or courseware access about a week to disappear. It will automatically update, and the book will no longer be accessible.
Students should first check the materials available to them to see if there are accessibility issues. If after reviewing the materials, the student needs additional assistance, they should contact Disability Services.
Each semester, courses that are participating in the Day 1 program will be available via our school website. Additionally, any course participating will have an inclusive access fee listed in LoLA when you register for the course.
No. SoLAcc only includes required course materials in the Day 1 program. You can purchase recommended course materials through the college bookstore or other book retailers.
Yes, since some courses are not yet participating in the program, book vouchers will be available to students.
